If there are two things, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman loves to pick during the NFL Draft, it's former Georgia Bulldogs and linemen. Okay, he loves his SEC guys as well.
Roseman has made a killing off the NFL Draft with six selections from Georgia since 2021 and 15 picks coming from the SEC in that same span. He's guaranteed to look at the high level of talent in the SEC and pick up some depth on the offensive or defensive lines.
2026 will be no exception, as the game plan in the draft has always worked for the Eagles, so nothing much will change. That makes mock drafts so much easier to predict in which direction Roseman will go.
Pro Football Network writer Brentley Weissman shared his three-round 2026 NFL mock draft as the Eagles will have four picks in those rounds. Here's a look at what Weissman predicts will be Philadelphia's selections:
"Philadelphia is always dangerous when drafting in the first round, and they often allow the board to fall to them. Much is the same in this mock draft as Miller falls directly into their laps.
Christen Miller is a versatile defensive lineman who plays with elite strength and quickness. He is still working on his technique and pad level, but his upside is sky high as both a run defender and pass rusher."
Miller has been a very popular choice in mock drafts since he is a Bulldog and a defensive tackle. Last year, he had 27 tackles, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a pass deflection for Georgia.
He would play more of a Jordan Davis-type role as he's a decent pass rusher, but would be used more as a run stopper in the middle. Miller is a perfect depth, rotational player to help Davis and Jalen Carter get some rest.
Endries had a nice two-year run with the California Golden Bears before transferring to Texas during the spring. He made 91 receptions for 1,030 yards and four touchdowns in 26 games.
This pick makes a lot of sense as this is the Eagles' way to replace Dallas Goedert should he hit free agency. The last time the Eagles picked a tight end in the second round? Goedert. That went pretty well for the team.
Sabb played his first two years in college with the Michigan Wolverines and won a national title with them in 2023. Last year at Alabama, he racked up 39 tackles, four pass deflections, two interceptions, and one tackle for loss.
Yet another SEC player for Roseman and another depth player on defense. Sabb would be insurance if Sydney Brown, Andrew Mukuba, or Tristin McCollum don't work out. At the very least, the Eagles acquire a rotational player who can also contribute on special teams.
Payton is entering his fifth season in college after spending his first four with the Florida State Seminoles. He had 110 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, 13 pass deflections, and three forced fumbles in 40 games.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio loves his versatile defenders, who can be moved around like chess pieces. Payton can play both off the edge and drop back into coverage when he needs to. A good backup to Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt when they need pressure on the quarterback.
