Eagles legend Brandon Graham explains why there will be 'no Super Bowl hangover' for Philadelphia

After coming painfully close to a Lombardi Trophy in recent seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles are heading into 2025 with one thing on their mind: finishing the job. And no one is more confident about that than longtime defensive leader Brandon Graham.

Entering his 15th season with the team, Graham isn’t just a locker room presence — he’s a living embodiment of Eagles culture. And when asked if this year’s team is vulnerable to the infamous “Super Bowl hangover” that plagues so many contenders, Graham didn’t hesitate.

“No Super Bowl hangover in Philly. Not with this group. Not with what we’ve been through,” Graham said.
“We’re not feeling sorry for ourselves — we’re coming for everything.”

The Eagles suffered a bitter playoff exit last season after failing to capitalize on their NFC dominance from the year before. But rather than dwell on the missed opportunity, Graham says the locker room has used it as fuel.

“Last year’s pain is this year’s purpose,” he added. “We didn’t lose our hunger — we sharpened it.”

Philadelphia has doubled down on experience and depth this offseason, re-signing key veterans while developing rising stars on both sides of the ball. With Jalen Hurts leading the offense and an aggressive defensive core led by Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, and Jordan Davis, the Eagles are determined to reclaim their place atop the NFC.

Graham believes the team’s mental makeup — and accountability — is what separates them.

“Ain’t nobody pointing fingers. Guys came back ready to work. We remember what it felt like to watch confetti fall and not be in it. We’re not letting that happen again.”

As one of the last remaining links to the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl victory, Graham knows what championship teams look like — and he insists the DNA hasn’t left the building.

“We’ve still got dogs. We’ve still got leaders. The window’s not closing — it’s wide open.”

With training camp buzzing and expectations sky-high, Eagles fans have every reason to believe Graham’s words aren’t just veteran talk — they’re a warning to the rest of the league.

Philadelphia’s not looking back. They’re charging forward.
