Eagles offensive weapon locked in as fantasy football value pick in 2025

With under two months until the NFL season begins, the homework being done on fantasy football is intensifying.

The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of offensive weapons who are easy choices to be selected, including Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and A.J. Brown. There is another player Eagles fans should look at in the late rounds of their drafts.

Bleacher Report writer Gary Davenport shared his value picks in fantasy football drafts by each position. At tight end, Davenport suggested Dallas Goedert as a solid pickup in the late rounds.

"This isn't an easy one. Once you get outside the top 10 or so tight ends, just about every option has at least one sizable question attached to them.

With Dallas Goedert, there are a few. He is the wrong side of 30, has missed at least three games in each of the past three seasons—including seven a year ago—and he plays on one of the most run-heavy teams in the NFL.

There's no getting around the fact that the longer you wait to draft a tight end, the more of a dart throw it becomes. But the last time Goedert finished outside the top 10 TEs in PPR points per game was 2019.

If he can stay on the field, he's a steal in Round 11."

Can Goedert get back to being an easy number one tight end choice in fantasy?

Goedert missed seven games last year due to injury, but proved he can still be productive on the field with an average of 11.8 yards per catch, the third highest of his seven-year career. He finished 2024 with 42 receptions for 496 yards and two touchdowns.

His best regular season came in 2021 with 830 yards receiving. Those yards have gone down each season since with many questioning whether he can still be a solid starting tight end in the NFL.

The biggest issue is that Goedert can't stay healthy. He's missed 15 games in the last three years due to injuries.

Going back to the fantasy perspective, Goedert has been a top 10 tight end in fantasy football three times in his career. The last two years have not been kind to him as he has had a 15th ranking in 2023 and a 25th ranking last year.

2025 is a contract year for Goedert, so if there is a year to get on board his hype train, this is the year to do it.
