Everyone Is Back To Hating Sonny On July 10 General Hospital…Except Gio

Sonny still has at least one person left in his fan club.

Hating on Sonny has been a common trend in Port Charles throughout the years, and everyone is back to it during the July 10, 2025 episode of General Hospital… everyone except his new grandson.

Despite Natalia’s (Eva LaRue) death being ruled accidental, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) is still certain that Sonny (Maurice Benard) was behind it. Of course, it doesn’t help that Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has set out to take down the mobster and is trying to get the police to investigate Sonny’s jet. But when it came time for Ezra (Daniel Goddard) and the press to pressure Marco into giving a statement about his mother’s death, he made things very clear.

Marco assured everyone that Ezra’s attempt to exploit is mother’s death was cruel, but when Laura (Genie Francis) thanked him for putting Ezra in his place, Marco went on to promise her that he still believed Sonny was responsible and she should be ashamed for sticking by him.

A Great Grandson

Meanwhile, when Gio (Giovanni Mazza) overheard Sidwell’s plan to get the PCPD to continue investigating Sonny, he ran straight to his grandfather with the information. But being immediately after a hard conversation with Carly (Laura Wright) about his inability to protect their children, Sonny blatantly told his grandson to stay out of it.

Gio insisted he stand by his grandfather the way Sonny stood by him, but Sonny told him the best thing he could do was stay far from both Sidwell and himself for the time being. And little do they know, Sidwell may be ready with a threat to Gio at any moment.
