This former Bruins defenseman is expected to miss a good chunk of time.
While speaking to reporters, including The Athletic's Harman Dayal, Vancouver Canucks coach Rick Tocchet shared that former Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort will be out week-to-week. Reporter Irfaan Gaffar also reported that Forbort could miss over a month of action.
Forbort, 32, has appeared in four games this season with the Canucks, where he has one assist, one hit, and a minus-2 rating. He joined the club this past off-season after spending the previous three seasons with the Bruins.
Forbort had nine goals, 30 points, 307 hits, and a plus-22 rating in 165 regular-season games as a Bruin. In 17 playoff games with the Bruins, he had one goal and one assist.
