This former Boston Bruins goalie has found a new home for the season.
Before the start of training camp, former Boston Bruins goalie Keith Kinkaid signed a professional tryout (PTO) contract with the New York Islanders. Yet, his time with the Islanders has now come to a close, as the Metropolitan Division club released him from his PTO.
However, Kinkaid has now found his home for the season, as he has signed an American Hockey League (AHL) deal with the Charlotte Checkers.
Kinkaid, 35, spent the entirety of this past season with the Chicago Wolves, where he had an 8-14-2 record, a .880 save percentage (SV%), and a 3.54 goals-against average (GAA).
Kinkaid spent the 2022-23 as a member of the Bruins organization. He made one appearance for Boston, recording a 1-0-0 record, a .968 SV%, and a 1.00 GAA. With the Providence Bruins, he had an 8-7-4 record, a .909 SV%, and a 3.10 GAA in 20 games.
In 169 career NHL games split between the New Jersey Devils, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, Bruins, and Colorado Avalanche, Kinkaid has a 70-58-21 record, a .905 SV%, and a 2.91 GAA.
