Fan-Favorite DWTS Alum Lands Unexpected Hosting Gig on Hulu

“Dancing with the Stars” finalist and former “Bachelorette” Gabby Windey is officially taking on a new title: host. Hulu announced that Windey will lead its upcoming unscripted dating series “Love Overboard”, executive produced by “Call Her Daddy”’s Alex Cooper under her Unwell Productions banner. The show, which was previously titled “Overboard for Love”, is set to premiere in 2026.

According to the logline, “Love Overboard” will follow a group of “sexy singles” as they search for romance aboard a luxury yacht — with a twist. “Gaining access to the yacht’s extravagant amenities won’t be so simple,” the show teases. “As the journey unfolds, romance ignites; alliances form; and hearts are shattered.”

Windey announced her new role with a video filmed from the show’s set. “We’re setting sail with Hulu’s newest reality show,” she said. “And I’m your host! Let’s make some waves.”

Cooper gave Windey her stamp of approval, commenting under the Instagram post, “NO ONE BETTER 👏🏻👏🏻.” Other stars, including Nikki Bella Garcia, Colton Underwood, and Kaitlyn Bristowe, also shared their excitement in the comments. Windey’s wife added, “And she’s yerr host!!!!”

Windey first appeared on “The Bachelor” and later co-led “The Bachelorette” before competing on “Dancing with the Stars” season 31 in 2022, where she placed second alongside pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

From Contestant to Host

While Windey is no stranger to being in front of the camera, Love Overboard marks her official debut as a TV host. Earlier this year, she became a fan favorite and one of four winners on “The Traitors” season 3, taking home $204,300.

Despite her reality TV track record, Windey admitted that stepping into new roles hasn’t always come naturally. “Even with the podcast, I didn’t want to do that either. I don’t want to do anything,” she told People. “Now, it’s turned into such a love of mine, and such an expression.”

As for what’s next, she’s choosing to stay in the moment. “People want to know what’s next, but I just got here,” Windey said. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God. Then I have to think about what’s next?’ But I am just trying to rest and revel in what’s going on right now.”

She launched the company in 2023 and has already signed creators like Harry Jowsey and Madeline Argy. Her husband, Matt Kaplan, will also serve as executive producer.

“I couldn’t be more excited that Unwell Productions’ first unscripted series, “Overboard for Love”, is coming to life with our amazing partner, Hulu,” Cooper said in a statement. “We’ve designed a truly unique dating show, and I can’t wait for viewers to see what Unwell is capable of.”
