Fans are defending Andy Cohen over his not-safe-for-work video with Kate Chastain – sent to Brandi Glanville before Caroline Manzo accused her of sexual harassment on a cast trip for the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Viewers claim the video was “clearly a joke,” with some accusing Brandi of making “way more inappropriate” comments.
After the ‘Girls Trip’ allegation, Brandi suggested that Bravo threw her out in the cold without considering the evidence. She later indicated that the video, recently leaked, shows proof that Andy (her former boss) sexually harassed her.
In the video, Andy and Kate laughingly say they’re going to have sex while talking about Brandi the whole time. They then invite her to watch via FaceTime.
Many fans are declaring their support for Andy. They’re saying that the Bravo host, who’s openly gay, was completely joking at the time with Brandi, his friend.
“She is one of the most inappropriate housewives ever, and she’s trying to say she’s offended by this? I don’t buy it. It’s obvious it’s a joke,” wrote one fan in the comments of the video, shared by @goodteawithsam on Instagram.
“Really? With the stuff that comes out of her mouth, she’s trying to act offended by that? She’s behaved worse to his dad in front of his mom,” said another.
“They sound drunk and like they’re joking. Like clearly they’ve exchanged videos like this with each other before. Also to me Andy isn’t the boss. He’s more the face of bravo,” wrote a third.
“Did she forget that Andy isn’t interested in women!” asked a fourth fan.
“There’s no way she kept a straight face while trying to submit this as evidence when on a good day she’s said things way more inappropriate and on a bad day it was actually despicable,” wrote a fifth.
“This is SO harmless,” said a sixth. “They are adults, they are friends, and brandy was their friend once upon a time too. It was clearly a joke between 3 friends. Brandy is messsssy.”
“I saw it twice to see if I was missing something… why did she get offended by THIS????” asked another.
A different user also questioned the claim that Andy is Brandi’s boss: “We need to stop pretending Andy is their boss. It’s such a different relationship than that.”
Another fan, however, defended Brandi.
“Yes he was joking. But I think that’s the point. Brandi was just joking with Caroline in Thailand. But Bravo turns on her and drops her like a bad habit,” said the viewer. “Why does Brandi get demonized whilst Andy keeps getting passes?”
