Five Golden Knights are named to Team Canada's Orientation Camp

Vegas Golden Knights v Philadelphia Flyers

The Vegas Golden Knights got some solid news on Friday regarding the 2026 Winter Olympics. Five members are going to Team Canada's Orientation Camp.

You know your team's good when you have five representatives named to Team Canada's Orientation Camp. That's not even considering Jack Eichel, who's as American as apple pie and old-school baseball. However, that's the case for the Vegas Golden Knights, who have five representatives joining Team Canada's Orientation Camp.

The names? Well, they consist of the following:

  • Mitch Marner
  • Adin Hill
  • Shea Theodore
  • Mark Stone
  • Head coach Bruce Cassidy

Considering the Golden Knights won the Pacific Division last season with 110 points, it should come as no surprise. They dominated the regular season, sans January, and saw numerous franchise records shattered.

Of course, there are some no-brainers to the list. Aside from Cassidy leading the Golden Knights to those 110 points and the Pacific Division title, Marner scored 102 points last season. That alone should warrant serious consideration for an invitation.

There's also Mark Stone (48 assists) and Shea Theodore (50 assists) who deserve some love here. They've shown they can handle the workload of playing in international competition, specifically with the 4 Nations Face-Off. This will be no different for the duo as they look to make Team Canada's 2026 Olympic roster.

As for Adin Hill? Well, he did earn his spot after an incredible 2024-25 season. Posting a GAA of 2.47, four shutouts and a save percentage of .906 is worthy enough to potentially grab a position. Heck, even Pete DeBoer's heading to the Orientation Camp! Just keep him away from the goaltenders, please.

Overall, the representation is strong on the Golden Knights side. It showcases the franchise's brilliance and their ability to grab Olympic-caliber talent. As Mel Brooks once said...
