This Philadelphia Flyers forward has what it takes to hit another new level in 2024-25.
The Philadelphia Flyers secured an impressive 3-2 shootout win over the Vancouver Canucks last night (Oct. 11). Flyers forward Ryan Poehling certainly contributed to the win, as he recorded the primary assist on Cam York's game-tying goal that forced overtime.
Seeing Poehling start the season on the scoresheet is undoubtedly encouraging. After setting new career highs with 11 goals, 17 assists, and 28 points in 77 games last season, the 6-foot-2 forward's goal is to continue to improve in 2024-25.
There is reason to believe Poehling can hit a new level this season. The 6-foot-2 forward is just 25 years old, so he still has time to take that next step in his development. In addition, unlike his previous teams – the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins – the Flyers are giving him consistent chances in their lineup.
