Flyers Forward Is Big Breakout Candidate

The 2023-24 campaign was certainly an eventful one for Morgan Frost. He found himself healthy scratched multiple times during the beginning of the season due to his shaky start. However, he notably responded well once the new year rolled around, as he posted 30 points in 44 contests in 2024.

Due to his hot finish to the season, Frost ended this past campaign with 13 goals and 41 points in 71 contests. Overall, even with the slow start, it was a pretty solid season for the 25-year-old. Now, his goal heading into the 2024-25 campaign is to remain consistent throughout it and have the breakout year many believe he can.

When looking at the Flyers' current lineup, the potential for Frost to be put in a position to succeed is there. The Flyers' center depth heading into this campaign is not the strongest, so Frost should have a real shot of playing top-six minutes and being used on their top power-play unit. However, for Frost to consistently get big chances, he must impress head coach John Tortorella throughout the year.

Nevertheless, if Frost can translate last season's strong finish to the entirety of next season, it could be the year where he takes that next step offensively and cements himself as a true top-six forward. It will be interesting to see if he can do just that from here.
