Flyers Superstar Predicted to Have Massive Year

The rebuilding Philadelphia Flyers surprised many last season by remaining in the playoff race until the end of the campaign. One major reason they exceeded expectations was Travis Konecny's splendid play.

Konecny once again had a big year, setting new career highs and leading the team with 33 goals and 68 points in 76 games. Overall, it was another successful year from the 2015 first-round pick, and he earned an eight-year, $70 million contract extension earlier this offseason because of it.

As awesome of a year as it was for Konecny, he is now predicted to have an even better season in 2024-25. In ESPN's latest player projections for the 2024-25 season, they have Konecny finishing the campaign with 35 goals, 36 assists, and 71 points in 74 games. If he put up these numbers, it would easily become the best year of his career.

When noting that Konecny seems to only get better as each season passes, it would not be particularly shocking if he put together a campaign like this. He has the tools to dominate the game offensively, and he undoubtedly will receive a lot of playing time.

Nevertheless, seeing if Konecny can match these projections and have a monster year for Philly from here will be fun.
