Cựu All-Pro tuyên bố giải nghệ khỏi NFL

A former NFL All-Pro offensive lineman has decided to call it a career.

New Orleans Saints tackle Ryan Ramczyk, who has not played since 2023 due to lingering knee issues, announced on Thursday that he is retiring from the NFL. The 30-year-old shared a post on social media recapping his football journey.

"Today I reflect on all the twists and turns that got me to this point, from technical college to become a 'welder' to All-Pro in the NFL. As I step into retirement, I’m filled with gratitude for everything this sport has given me. I owe a giant thank you to the game of football, and to the countless coaches and teammates who have supported and challenged me along the way," Ramczyk wrote on Instagram.

Ramczyk was taken by the Saints in the first round (No. 32 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. The former Wisconsin star immediately became a full-time starter and was one of the most reliable tackles in the league for several seasons.

Ramczyk was named a First-team All-Pro in 2019 and a Second-team All-Pro in 2018 and 2020. He underwent knee surgery prior to last season and did not play at all.

In total, Ramczyk appeared in 101 games across seven seasons and started in all of them.
