This former Philadelphia Flyers goalie is set to hit a brand new milestone this season.
Former Philadelphia Flyers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has been one of the NHL's top goalies for several years. This past season was more of the same, as the 36-year-old posted a 36-17-4 record, a 2.37 goals-against average (GAA), and a .915 save percentage (SV%) in 58 regular-season appearances. Due to his strong play, he was an NHL All-Star for the third time in his career.
In addition, Bobrovsky helped lead the Florida Panthers to their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. In 24 playoff appearances this spring for the Cats, he had a 16-8 record, a 2.32 GAA, and a .906 SV%.
After an excellent year that saw him win his first-career Stanley Cup, Bobrovsky is set to build on his resume even further in 2024-25. The 6-foot-2 goaltender is just four wins away from recording the 400th of his career.
Once Bobrovsky gets his 400th win, he will be just the 13th goalie in NHL history to hit the mark. Thus, it is a huge deal that the 14-year veteran is on the verge of reaching this milestone.
Bobrovsky started his NHL career with the Flyers back during the 2010-11 season. In 83 games over two seasons as a Flyer, Bobrovsky had a 42-23-10 record, a .909 SV%, and a 2.73 GAA. His time with the Flyers ended when he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets at the completion of the 2011-12 season.
