The “Real Housewives of Potomac” cast has undergone significant changes since the show premiered in 2016. One of the most talked-about ladies from the series is Monique Samuels, who departed in 2020. Now, five years later, she’s returning as a friend of the show for its 10th season.
Recently, she took to Instagram Live to discuss her grand return to “The Real Housewives of Potomac.” She started, “Everybody’s saying they ya’ll have been praying for me to return. Ya’ll are so sweet.” She continued, “Well, your prayers have been answered.”
She then discussed her limited role, saying, “Just a little bit. I’ll be popping in and out, popping in and out.” She then said, “The timing is perfect because I wasn’t in the place where I’m at right now. Even last year. Even a few months ago. I wasn’t in this space.”
Naturally, Monique dodged specific questions about “The Real Housewives of Potomac” as filming is currently underway. However, she did say, “Expect to see a difference in me than what you saw five years ago. Being a friend works for my schedule. I am in no way, shape, or form interested in doing full-time right now.”
Still, she didn’t rule out being a full-time housewife on the show in the future. She said, “We’ll, see what the future holds. There was a time when I said I would never come back, and here I am, so I won’t say never, ever again.”
Why Did Monique Leave “The Real Housewives of Potomac?”
Monique Samuels also used her Instagram Live to briefly discuss why she left “The Real Housewives of Potomac.” She said, “I left on a note where I was just upset with everybody, and I had good reason. Still, to get to this space where I’m just like excited about filming again is, like, it’s interesting.”
She added, “Literally, like last week, I was like, ‘You know what, let’s do it. What do I have to lose? Literally, last week.”
Around the time she left “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” Monique told Business Insider that she was “over it” and that she felt that there were double standards for the cast.
Who Will be on “RHOP” Season 10?
As mentioned, the ladies of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” are already filming for season 10. The cast includes Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Keiarna Stewart, and Stacey Rusch. These ladies are all full-time housewives. It’ll be interesting for fans to see how Monique Samuels gets along with this group, many of whom she filmed with before leaving.
