Former Las Vegas Raiders star plans to retire early in his career

The Las Vegas Raiders, and the Raiders franchise in general, have had a ton of talented players that just never worked out in the silver and black long term.

We all remember Amari Cooper, who was supposed to be the next-best receiver in the league. And, he has become very good, but that's since moving on from the Raiders.

Of course, there is also Darren Waller, who claimed the title of the best tight end in the sport not long ago. But, it was best he moved on, as the Raiders traded him under the old regime. And, that was the right decision, as he may not even be in the league anymore.

On a Monday, a series of reports emerged indicating that former Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller was considering retirement. These reports specified that Waller was contemplating this decision before the New York Giants minicamp. On Sunday, reports continued. According to Ian Rappaport of NFL Network, Waller plans to tell the Giants that he will indeed retire.

Waller was a great talent, but after some recent off-field stiff he has had going on, which we won't go into further detail on, and the lack of great play with the Giants, maybe he thought it would be best to go ahead and hang it up.

Of course, once a Raider always a Raider, so you wish him nothing but the best moving forward.
