'Fresh' Front Office And QB Tipped To Give Jets 2025 Hope

The New York Jets needed a change this offseason in the worst way, and as we gear up for training camp, no one can doubt that the right decision was made with Aaron Glenn, Darren Mougey, and Justin Fields coming in to start the new era.

After a disappointing 2024 season, the Jets now turn to 2025 with a fresh approach, one that Glenn hopes will be crucial in developing a culture that he and the front office will help foster for long-term success.

While some think 2025 will be tough sledding for Glenn and Fields, at least Jets fans have a clean slate and a team that has moved in silence this offseason and isn't in the headlines every other day.

And for Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox, that is one reason why Gang Green can be optimistic about the 2025 season.

"The Jets can feel good about having a fresh start in 2025, even if there's no guarantee they'll be better," Knox wrote. "Rather than bring back Rodgers, they instead replaced him with free-agent Justin Fields. The Jets also hired head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey to replace Saleh and Joe Douglas, respectively, whom they fired in-season last year.

"New York has an opportunity to build a new, better culture in 2025, which could lay the foundation for future (if not instant) success."

No one is expecting a 10-7 season for Glenn and Co., but rather to be a stable organization off the field and to adhere to Glenn's standards, which were set in OTAs.

Yes, winning a lot of football games will be the priority, but the cultural foundation that Glenn and his coaching staff have built perhaps takes precedence, at least this year, and once that is in full flow, everything else will follow.

We don't have to look back too far to see how quickly things can change with Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders last season, so it can be done. Are we expecting something similar for the Jets? No, we aren't, but it is a nice place to be when your franchise isn't in the news every other day.

Under Glenn, the main thing is the main thing, and while it might not produce results straight away, at least the fan base will enter the 2025 season knowing football takes priority over everything.

And that is a breath of fresh air.
