Gavin McHugh Talks 9-1-1 Audition, Working with Ryan Guzman & Oliver Stark, and His Social Media Support

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of chatting with Gavin McHugh and his mom, Lisa, for nearly 40 minutes about Gavin’s journey in Hollywood, his audition for the hit show 9-1-1 on FOX, and the incredible support he’s received from fans on social media.

Gavin, who plays the lovable Christopher Diaz, shared that his audition process was both exciting and nerve-wracking. He recalled how the team at 9-1-1 made him feel comfortable from the moment he walked into the room. "It was such a great experience," Gavin said, smiling. "I felt welcomed and knew I had to give it my all."

Working with Ryan Guzman and Oliver Stark has been a dream for Gavin. He praised the chemistry between the cast members, especially the bond he shares with his on-screen father, Ryan Guzman, and the camaraderie with Oliver Stark. “Ryan is so kind, and Oliver always makes things fun on set. It’s like we’re a big family.”
