General Hospital recaps reveal Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) enraged while Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) seeks a new perspective.
Also, Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) makes a move on Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) makes a horrifying discovery.
Emma meets Gio at the pool and inquires if he managed to get the night off-he would work non-stop if given the chance.
His mind is still preoccupied with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard); he’s eager to uncover the truth about him and Emma recommends that he consult someone—he departs.
Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) sits in a corner, engrossed in a book about Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) when her mother appears, bubbling with excitement about the July Fourth event tonight.
She’s eager to spend quality time with her-Joss reflects that the fire made her realize how delicate life is and the significance of family.
They reminisce about everything their family has endured; Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) feels thankful that they are safe at this moment.
Joss watches Vaughn as he removes his shirt; her mom sees this and suggests she should go speak to him-Joss approaches Vaughn, he asks her to pretend their kiss never took place.
They come up with a plan to distract Emma using animals- Vaughn shares a story about losing his childhood dog; Joss questions if it’s real but believes Emma will buy it.
She mentions that she’s the best way to provoke Emma, and they begin to argue for Emma’s sake- Joss tells Vaughn it’s over and leaves angrily as Emma grins.
Emma then joins Vaughn, and they discuss how selfish Joss is before raising a toast to better days ahead.
They start chatting about the souls of animals and the animal rights organization she founded; he expresses interest in getting involved.
Gio approaches Carly and inquires if he can discuss Sonny with her, sharing the cautionary advice Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has provided regarding Sonny, and how it contradicts the man he knows.
Carly responds that the reality is quite complex; Sonny engaged in these matters before he truly understood the consequences, yet his love for his family remains unwavering.
She clarifies that both Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) have struggled with these dilemmas, but if you allow Sonny to, he will remain a part of your life. Gio chooses to reach out to Sonny’s sons.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) visits Wyndemere to ask Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) about Natalia Ramirez’ (Eva LaRue) death; he implies that if she seeks answers, she should speak to Sonny.
Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) mentions that Natalia was Sonny’s loose end—he clarifies that she knew about Sonny’s heart condition and was sharing it with others.
Perhaps he found out that she betrayed his trust, as this information could make him seem vulnerable—Anna storms out. At the Quartermaine’s, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) checks in on Sasha and Daisy Gilmore (Levi Clark Coughlin); she confesses she’s uncertain if her panic was merely due to being a mom.
She feels that all the recent changes have her feeling overwhelmed-Cody advises them to enjoy the holiday.
In the boathouse, Michael informs BLQ about an incident at the pool that disturbed Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver).
They discuss Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), and she confessed she thought about revealing Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) surrogacy but ultimately chose not to.
She believes she shouldn’t use a child in that way-after Michael leaves, Cody arrives and drinks a beer while she tells him he has no reason to be angry with her.
He argues that she made him part of keeping a secret from his best friend; she apologizes for that but felt it was necessary to protect her child.
He regrets how difficult it was for her and clarifies he just wanted Lulu and Dante to know the truth; they come to an understanding, forgive each other, and share a hug.
At home, Rocco faces Lulu, asking if Britt is truly his mother; she calls Dante for help, and Rocco mentions he found the birth certificate.
When Dante gets there, they clarify that he is biologically theirs, but Britt is the one who gave birth to him. They had planned to inform him once Lulu woke up from her coma-Lulu states that a lot has happened since then, and this information got lost in the confusion.
They apologize, but assure him that their love for him remains unchanged; they emphasize that this situation is different from what occurred with Brook Lynn, as they meant to be honest.
The parents offer to share everything he wants to know.-they sit him down and explain that they used IVF to conceive him.
They continue, saying Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was supposed to be the surrogate, but that plan fell through; Britt stole their embryo and carried him to term without their knowledge or consent.
Rocco realizes he might not have been born at all without her, staying this implies they didn’t truly want him, and they claim that’s not true.
Everything came to light when they discovered their embryo was missing while they were eager to have a child; Lulu tells him he’s loved beyond measure.
Rocco wishes Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) hadn’t found that file on Brook Lynn’s desk-it will take Rocco some time to process this; he’s not angry but wishes he’d heard this from them.
As soon as he goes upstairs, Lulu states that Brook Lynn can’t escape from going after their son and storms out.
Back in the house, Michael sees Sasha putting Daisy to bed; he lends a hand, and they discuss how well they work together.
This gives her hope that everything will turn out fine-he understands her doubts about his involvement in Daisy’s life. Her main worry is their daughter’s happiness.
Later, at the boat house, Michael, Sasha, BLQ, and Cody reminisce about their past until the fireworks begin-Sasha hears Daisy crying through the baby monitor and quickly leaves.
Cody and Michael head off to grab more drinks, then Lulu rushes in, calls BLQ a “hateful bitch,” and then slaps her; Sasha arrives at the nursery, and Daisy is missing.
Anna visits GH for Natalia’s autopsy, where Marco confronts her and requests to see it. Meanwhile, at the PCPD, Sonny informs Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that there might be a way to limit the fallout from the mob war.
She expresses her frustration that people will exploit their connection to speak poorly of her, and she refuses to let that happen.
As they embrace, Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) enters and takes a photo. They inform him that taking pictures there is against the law; the mayor instructs an officer to escort him out.
Anna arrives, and Boyle listens in as she states there is no evidence that Natalia was murdered. Boyle begins to mock them about this, and Laura leads Sonny out.
Marco hurries to Wyndemere to tell his father that the police have closed the case on his mother’s death, but Sidwell reassures him that it’s not over for them.
It’s a certainty that Sidwell will spin this situation somehow to make Sonny responsible for Natalia’s death. Marco will have his revenge.
