General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) may not be a person who takes rejection very well.
During the week of June 16-20, he presented a proposal to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to take over his ‘business’ in Port Charles, and the mob boss turned him down.
Sonny felt as if his back was against the wall, and it also rubbed him the wrong way when Sidwell seemingly threatened his family.
Is Sidwell About To Unleash Retaliation?
Now what seems like a threat could turn into a bonafide target, as the GH preview for the week of June 23-27 opened up with a clip that implies Sidwell is about to unleash some sort of retaliation on Sonny that he won’t soon forget.
Sidwell is shown in the promo rifling through some photos. It appears that these pictures have been snapped from afar.
While he has a stack of them, the two shown in the weekly GH preview are of Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), Sonny’s recently discovered grandson, and the second is of Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), Sonny’s eldest daughter.
Meanwhile, the voiceover that can be heard while Sidwell is looking at the photos is of Sonny, as he tells someone unknown, presumably his bestie and right-hand man, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), “Violence is headed to Port Charles and we gotta stop it!”
Everyone knows that Sonny is fiercely protective of his family, and there are a ton of targets in Port Charles between his children and grandchildren.
With Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) recently returning from the burn clinic in Germany thanks to getting caught in the crossfire of an attack meant for his mob boss dad, Sonny is that much more on guard, and very sensitive to the situation of ensuring he keeps his family safe at all times.
Who Will Sidwell Target?
Still, will Sidwell target one family member in particular or launch a massive strike against the entire bunch?
Without knowing Sidwell’s plan, there is a chance that he does something that takes out, or hurts, all or most of Sonny’s loved ones.
Assuming Sidwell was behind the penthouse explosion, and the WSB device that was used in it, could the villain gain access to another spy-like contraption that could kill many birds with one stone (so to speak)?
Could Sidwell find a way to poison all of Sonny’s kids and grandkids by using a super spy tool?
Then again, some other type of super-spy tool could be used to hurt many people at once.
This attack may only ‘hurt’ Sonny’s loved ones, almost as a warning of something worse to come unless Sonny plays by Sidwell’s rules.
Daisy’s (Levi Clark Coughlin) loved ones are about to gather and celebrate a milestone later on this week, likely her baptism, so this could create a perfect moment for Sidwell to strike?
Sonny will have the entire event surrounded with security as his granddaughter receives this blessing, but the entire event will bring together Michael’s side of the family, both the Quartermaines and the Corinthos’s, so it may be the chance Sidwell has been waiting for to send out a clear message to the mob boss.
General Hospital spoilers imply that Sidwell’s concerns of Sonny striking back are minimal, as he only has one person to protect, his son, Marco Rios (Adrian Achnondo), while Sonny has literally dozens, so the odds are stacked up against the mob boss; however, this is sometimes when Sonny does his best work, so Sidwell better not underestimate his rival.
