General Hospital’s Willow Got Her Wicked Wish Granted: Sasha and Daisy Are Gone — But for How Long?

And with that, it looks like Sasha’s bid farewell to General Hospital and Port Charles — for now at least! Her exit has seemed inevitable for a bit now, what with Willow secretly tormenting Sasha and Michael through baby Daisy. (Also, that smile Willow flashed when Nina told her Sasha and Daisy had fled town was downright chilling!) And the timing is kind of perfect. Drew and Willow’s wedding is coming up, Curtis seems intent on telling Willow about Nina sleeping with her soon-to-be husband, and Michael, Rory Gibson has shared is going to be devastated and full of rage after Sasha leaves.

In other words, the pieces are all lined up for Willow and Drew to get some major comeuppance! It’s not clear whether this exit is permanent, but if the truth comes out about Willow’s involvement in threatening Daisy and everyone does succeed in taking her and Drew down, there’s no reason for Sasha not to return to Port Charles at some point. Gibson, after all, said in his eyes, at least, Michael’s been falling back in love with her.

For now, though, a General Hospital rep confirmed with TV Insider that Sofia Mattsson is gone. ““There was a good time in the storyline for Sofia to leave to pursue other opportunities in film and TV,” they shared. “But she is open for a return in the future.”

It may, in fact, be a sweet gesture for Sasha to stay with Robert and Holly, in light of the news we got yesterday that Robert’s beloved portrayer, Tristan Rogers, is battling cancer right now. While he fights it offscreen, Robert’s family can spend some time with him.

Ultimately, when Jason dropped Sasha off, he made it clear that she’d always have a home back in Port Charles. So while we don’t know what the future holds, it seems tough to think that Sasha and Sofia Mattsson won’t be back eventually.

For now, the actress shared a special message for fans with TV Insider. “You guys are the best,” she exclaimed. “I’m in awe of your commitment, and I’m so honored to have gotten to experience your love and support firsthand.”
