Things aren't going well for the Montreal Canadiens, and Martin St-Louis seems to have been out of solutions for a while now.
At the beginning of the month, there was a lot of speculation about his future in Montreal and the possibility of him being fired or replaced, but that has since quieted down.
However, on BPM Sports in the past few hours, host Georges Laraque has seriously brought the topic back to the forefront.
Georges Laraque would change the Montreal Canadiens' head coach if it were his decision
Here's what he had to say.
"When the management looks at what's happening right now, the team they've put together..You have to make adjustments when the team isn't performing well to ensure the young players' development stays on track because right now, bad habits are starting to form.
You know, Gonzo, in a press conference, the coach struggled to.. even if it's a punishment to put Slafkovsky and Dach on the fourth line, he struggled to say it was a punishment.
The staff needs to start reconsidering whether they have the right coach behind the bench because the players aren't responding anymore, and people aren't responding either.
The Canadiens have a better team on paper than what we're seeing on the ice
Personally, I'd replace him.
I would change the coach."
- Georges Laraque
Wow! Do you agree with him?

Personally, knowing that the Montreal Canadiens seem to have let Jim Montgomery slip through their fingers, I don't believe Martin St-Louis will be replaced anytime soon.
I could be wrong, but I don't think it will happen this season.
