GH APRIL 24 SHOCKER: Sonny Faces Surgery — And a Deadly Threat!

In addition to Sonny preparing for surgery, General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, April 24, 2025, focus on Danny opening up to Jason about missing Sam. Also, Molly issues a warning to Ric.

It’s dangerous to be a Corinthos. In the last 13 months alone, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was shot, a pregnant Kristina (Kate Mansi) fell out of a hotel window, Michael (ex-Chad Duell) was caught in an explosion, Carly (Laura Wright) was poisoned, and now it’s Sonny’s turn. Sure, this is about his heart condition, but his upcoming medical procedure is due to residual effects from a long-ago dangerous incident.

He has been dealing with these heart issues for a while, and now it’s time to do something about them. As Sonny (Maurice Benard) prepares for surgery, he might also want to prepare for a way to protect his life. In GH’s weekly video preview, a hitwoman, wielding a syringe, looks to inject Sonny with something presumably deadly.

Parental Interactions

Jason (Steve Burton) is actually in Port Charles, and he’s not attempting to race to the rescue—not yet, anyway. So he has plenty of time for his son, who needs some guidance and comfort. Look for Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) to open up to Jason about missing Sam (ex-Kelly Monaco).

Meanwhile, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) issues a warning to Ric (Rick Hearst). Uh, Molly, right now, Ric isn’t the one who should get a warning. It should be Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). If she suddenly senses tension between her parents again, then she should know it isn’t Ric’s fault (completely). Their peaceful truce is over because Alexis knows that Ric knows Kristina tried to kill him. On top of that, he’s using the knowledge as blackmail along with Ava (Maura West).

Alarms and Emergencies

On Thursday, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) is alarmed, which is par for the course, considering she’s keeping such massive secrets from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). But this may be one time where her being in such a state has nothing to do with her lies of omission. So what has alarmed her all of a sudden?

Finally, Cody (Josh Kelly) needs medical attention. After horseback riding to Molly’s rescue on the side of the road the other day, he got to be the rugged, charming savior. How does he end up needing to be fixed up? And will this require a visit to the hospital? Wanna bet that somehow Molly is the one to help him out?
