Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey watched Gia Giudice grow up on the show. Now, she’s following in Teresa Giudice‘s footsteps and currently starring on Bravo’s Next Gen NYC. Recently, Gia shared that she may soon be taking another giant step toward independence and moving away from home.

Gia has spoken openly about continuing to live at home with Teresa, 53, and Luis Ruelas, 51. Currently, her youngest sister, Audriana Giudice, 15, also lives there, and their other two siblings, Milania, 19, and Gabriella, 21, are away at college.
Gia recently interviewed with Today while promoting Next Gen NYC. During the conversation, she discussed how busy her schedule has become. According to Gia, “It’s a lot. My schedule has only picked up since Next Gen NYC, which is funny, because it picked up the summer we were filming Next Gen, and no one knew that we were filming it.”
She continued, “It’s just my career kind of started picking up and my brand started growing, and I am in the city at least four times a week, so it’s a lot of back and forth from Jersey.” Gia then shared that splitting her time between two places has become “super exhausting.” She’s now contemplating a life change due to the toll the travel is causing.
Gia went on, “I think in August, I’m really going to start looking at apartments and moving into something in September. I’m either going to do Manhattan or Jersey City. I’m gonna figure it out.”
She continued discussing her plans, saying, “I’ll still spend my weekend at home, maybe every other weekend at home. I have to see my Bella.”
Naturally, they also brought up the topic of Next Gen NYC, and Gia shared that she wasn’t nervous about putting her life in front of the camera. She admitted, “I wasn’t honestly scared. My life has been on the cameras for so long. I’m so open with my audience, and I just kept doing that on Next Gen.” Gia also called the drama on the new show “more lightweight” than what RHONJ fans are used to.
She explained, “It’s not as intense — as a friend group in their 20s, figuring it out, going through the motions, you know, figuring out what their next steps are, what our next steps are. So the drama is like normal friendship drama.”
