Gizelle Bryant Brands RHOP Newbie Stacey Rusch a ‘Gnat’

Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac seems promising. Karen Huger is, at the moment, refusing to take responsibility for her DUI.

Then we have Mia Thornton, who is dealing with her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton, and her boyfriend, “Inc.” The green-eyed bandit herself, Gizelle Bryant, is trying to help, and at the same time, antagonize Karen. However, Gizelle also has some thoughts about the new housewife, Stacey Rusch.

Gizelle Bryant appreciates that Stacey Rusch doesn’t “edit’ herself

Stacey left her job at QVC to devote more time to her daughter. She is also dealing with a divorce from her husband. However, she does have a serious boyfriend. Stacey is dating Thomas Anthony Jones, who goes by the nickname TJ. And the couple is celibate since TJ is a “devout Christian.” That revelation shook Karen and Ashley Darby.

When Karen and Gizelle both held events on the same day, most of the group went to Karen’s award ceremony, planning to then go to Gizelle and Ashley’s event. Since Gizelle invited all of the ladies first, and it was a fundraiser to honor Gizelle’s late dad, she was furious. The event was a fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society. When Stacey, Jassi Rideaux, and Keiarna Stewart arrived four minutes late, Gizelle had security escort them out. Yikes!

Well, Gizelle shared her thoughts on Stacey. And Stacey may want to have a seat. “Throughout the course of the season, you will see Stacey has a lot to say. I truly appreciate her. She’s like the little gnat that won’t go away,” Gizelle told Parade. “I like her. I like her around but then I want her gone,” she added.

However, Gizelle did note that she admired how Stacey doesn’t “edit” herself and doesn’t take herself “too seriously.” Hey – I was impressed with Stacey’s enthusiasm about sleeping in bunk beds on the girls’ trip. The other ladies would have lost their minds.

Overall, Gizelle seems pleased with Season 9 of RHOP. “Potomac is back to what it used to be,” she said. Gizelle added that it is, “Fun, shady drama but not too intense, very funny … you know, all the things that people have just loved us for.” I’m here for it!

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.
