The ‘Wives are known for their lavish and unique lifestyles and discussed if their suitors are up to the challenge on Bravo’s Love Hotel.
Eight eligible bachelors are booked into Bravo’s Love Hotel, and they’re all vying for the attention of four housewives. But being a housewife is a unique lifestyle — and part of the love test while the ‘Wives are in paradise is finding the right man to fit all parts of their life.
“Ladies, we haven’t really discussed — we are very established women,” The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant said on Episode 2 as the 'Wives gathered around the pool to spill the tea on their dates. “We make our money and we’ve made our money. So how important is finances with a partner?”
“Can these guys afford our lifestyle is the question,” added The Real Housewives of New York City alum Luann de Lesseps.
Gizelle explained why finances are an important topic at the Love Hotel: “We’re not talking about like being gold diggers or being materialistic, it just is what it is.”
“I think we have standards,” Ashley Darby of The Real Housewives of Potomac added, as Luann chimed in, “And partners who have the same lifestyle.”
Why is Gizelle interested in Phillip at the Love Hotel?
Ashley asked Gizelle what’s piqued her interest about 63-year-old Phillip, who’s an investor from Los Angeles, California.
“I think he said he lives in Bel-Air. And Phil told me he has like a house manager,” Gizelle confided in Ashley, who asked, “Is his house big enough for a manager?”
“I want to find out,” Gizelle answered. “So, he must stay.”
But Gizelle also got to know Phillip better on a personal level on her double date with him and 61-year-old Ralph, a sound system specialist from Nashville, Tennessee.
“You guys are like, very mature men,” she commented to them. "That’s hard to find these days.”
Her conversations with Phil on the date took her interest in him to a whole new level.
“Phil, he’s like a whole man,” she said in her confessional. “Established. He is fancy. He knows what he wants. He is refined. Phil, my man, you are talking my language.”
How does Shannon feel about Earl at the Love Hotel?
Gizelle asked The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Storms Beador how finances with her main love interest Earl would play out, and Shannon admitted: “I really, I would say today, I can’t — I don’t know.”
The 59-year-old is a vocational expert from Lawrenceburg, Georgia, and admittedly different from John Janssen whom Shannon began dating in 2019, and who is now engaged to RHOC alum Alexis Bellino. Shannon shared that's a positive for Earl, and she’s determined not to make the same mistakes at the Love Hotel.
“My last two relationships have been with narcissists,” she said in her confessional. “My picker isn’t working very well. So, I need to choose a different type of man. I need someone with a big heart.”
Earl might fit that part. He confided in Shannon in Episode 1 that he’s hoping to find love after the passing of his second wife five years ago. And he shared another story with her on his second date.
“The first [marriage] only lasted about a year and a half,” he said. “We didn’t have any kids, but I had a stepson. Loved him to death. And when I filed for divorce, she never let me see him again, which was very hard. He left my life when he was 11 and I promised him that my motorcycle would be there for him whenever he comes back. I still have it sitting in my garage.”
Shannon was touched by Earl’s story.
“I love that Earl is sharing so much. He’s an open book, and I consider myself an open book as well. You know, there’s just that comfort level between us,” Shannon said.
