Vegas Golden Knights prospect Ivan Morozov has signed a two-year contract extension with Spartak in the KHL.

The Golden Knights selected Morozov in the second round, 61st overall in the 2018 NHL draft. In the 2022-23 season, he played 58 games with the Henderson Silver Knights scoring six goals and 17 points. He was loaned out to Spartak Moskva this season where he has been highly effective scoring 11 goals and 38 points in 37 games.

The 24-year-old is an RFA and is arbitration-eligible. The news about him signing this extension with Spartak is a good indication that Morozov and the Golden Knights are parting ways.

The Golden Knights need to send Morozov a qualifying offer later this month but all signs point to the two parting ways.
