We won't see too many of the Rangers' regulars during the first preseason game on Sunday against the Bruins.
The New York Rangers play their first preseason game on Sunday night against the Boston Bruins.
Following Saturday’s practice Peter Laviolette confirmed that ‘half or less’ of the players expected to make the opening night roster will play in Boston tomorrow.
The rest of the guys that are not playing in the preseason game will scrimmage in the morning. Laviolette talked about what he is expecting going into the opening preseason game.
“It’s an evaluation process,” Laviolette said. “You want to go out there and play the game the right way. You want to show what our team can do. It’s training camp, so it's an evaluation period. While we’ll be missing some of the bigger names, this is a chance for players to go out and put on the New York Rangers jersey, represent our organization and show what they can do.”
Here were the offensive lines featured at practice that we could see in Sunday’s scrimmage or preseason game:
Kreider-Zibanejad-Smith
Panarin-Trocheck-Lafrenière
Cuylle-Chytil-Kakko
Vesey-Brodzinski-Rempe
