With so many beloved Salemites making their way back home this year during Days of our Lives’ 60th anniversary, here’s why we need Theo Carver back in town pronto.
Remember Him?
The son of Abe (James Reynolds) and the late Lexie (Renée Jones), Theo has had a bumpy ride throughout his life. From being deaf, to navigating life with autism, to getting shot, Theo has been through it all in his 20-something years. While four actors have held the role, it may just be Terrell Ranson Jr. who is most remembered for playing Theo. Ranson Jr. was not only the actor to play the character the longest, but even made a cameo in 2023 as Jerry Prentiss, a Theo doppelganger who starred on Body & Soul. Now may be the perfect time for Ranson Jr. to reprise his original role, and here’s why. While Theo should be Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) age, DAYS isn’t afraid to de-SORAS some characters, and making Theo his true age of 22 (Ranson Jr.’s age) would put him in the perfect position to be at odds with Doug III (Peyton Meyer) over gals like Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Ari (Marissa Reyes).
Reuniting Jabi
Love life aside, Theo’s return would bring some extra drama to Salem now that JJ’s (Casey Moss) back. Shooting Theo nearly cost JJ everything, and was one of the things that brought him and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) closer. Seeing Theo’s face could easily trigger JJ’s bad memories and send him straight back into Gabi’s arms, and bed.
