A beloved professional dancer from “Dancing with the Stars” may be heading to a different reality television show. Mark Ballas won the Mirrorball trophy with Charli D’Amelio when he last competed on DWTS. More recently, he returned to the show as a guest judge.
According to a new report, Ballas is now going to give an entirely different type of reality television show a try.
A rumored casting leak for season 4 of “The Traitors” indicates that Ballas may be joining the upcoming season. He would not be the first “Dancing with the Stars” alum to join the show. Former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy competed on a prior season.
If the casting list that has emerged is accurate, Ballas will not be the only contestant with ties to “Dancing with the Stars” competing on season 4 of “The Traitors.” Former contestant and Olympian Johnny Weir is reportedly on the cast, as well. In addition, former contestant and “Real Housewives” alum Lisa Rinna made the list, too.
The rumored season 4 cast list for “The Traitors emerged on X, previously Twitter, on June 12. A user who goes by the account name @Realitytv__fan shared the list, and their intel is thought to be solid among “The Traitors” fans.
In addition to Ballas, Weir, and Rinna, “The Traitors” season 4 will reportedly include Donna Kelce, the mother of football stars Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce. Another supposed contestant is former “The Bachelor” Colton Underwood.
Other contestants rumored include “Survivor” stars Rob Cesternino and Yam Yam Arocho. The list also includes “The Amazing Race” alum Natalie Anderson, along with “Big Brother” alums Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell.
The “Real Housewives” is typically well-represented on “The Traitors,” and season 4 will be no exception. Dorinda Medley may return, joining Porsha Williams and Candiace Dillard Bassett.
The leaked cast list also includes “Love Island” alum Maura Higgins, singer Eric Nam, and “Drag Race” star Monet X Change.
As soon as the casting leak for season 4 of “The Traitors” started to circulate, fans gushed over the idea that Ballas would participate.
“I think Mark is gonna be great! I already see him doing better than Maks lol,” one fan noted in the “Dancing with the Stars” subreddit.
Another fan raved, “I’m so happy for Mark!!!!!!!!”
Someone else noted, “Honestly when there were rumours of a DWTS champ I expected it to be Cheryl [Burke], I’m thrilled about Mark!”
