Hot for Teacher? General Hospital’s Professor Dalton May Be the Best Thing to Happen to [Spoiler] in Ages

It’s never a great sign for a new General Hospital character when the WSB immediately wants them investigated. But we have a hunch that the show wouldn’t have hired soap vet Daniel Goddard to play Professor Henry Dalton if he was going to turn out to be some short-lived villain. That being the case, we have high hopes that he’ll soon strike a spark with a certain singleton.

Yep, looking at you, Nina!

Cynthia Watros’ Port Charles counterpart hasn’t had a proper love interest since Sonny divorced her. (We’ll no sooner count Drew as having been one than viewers will. The quicker he’s served his just deserts, the better.) So she’s not just due, she’s past due for some real romance in her life.

Picture it. A rainy night at the Metro Court. Nina’s a martini in, worried sick about Drew’s continued hold over Willow. In walks Henry. He orders and dark and stormy and cracks, “Seems like that kind of evening, doesn’t it?” Nina’s so lost in thought that she doesn’t even realize at first that he’s spoken to her. When she looks up, their eyes meet, he smiles, she smiles, and then she replies…

“Keep moving, bub. I ain’t buying what you’re selling.”

Nina’s been burned by love too often to just give Henry a chance. But he proves to be funny enough to hold her interest. And she soon discovers that he’s intelligent. And it’s obvious that he’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. One thing leads to another, and boom, at last Nina’s smack dab in the middle of a love story.
