How Far Ahead Are The Bills in the AFC East Rankings?

The New England Patriots and New York Jets have been a mess, while the Miami Dolphins still haven't proven themselves to be anything other than an easy kill for the Bills at times.

After a superb 2024 season, the Bills, who made it to the AFC Championship game, are again expected to make a deep playoff push, largely in part to the weak division.

And for SI's Gilberto Manzano, when ranking all eight NFL divisions, the AFC East comes in at No. 6 (with No. 8 being the easiest), and the Bills still head and shoulders above everyone.

"The Buffalo Bills are still levels ahead of their divisional rivals, but expect at least one new playoff team to emerge from the AFC East," Manzano writes.

It is hard to argue with Manzano here.

The Bills have been the bullies of the AFC East for the past five years, and yes, while the Patriots and Jets are turning the page, that will take time despite positive free agency hauls. The Dolphins could be anything, but Tua Tagovailoa hasn't had the best of times against Buffalo (1-8 in career), so there isn't much to get excited about.

If everything goes well, as they did last year, the Bills could have the division win halfway through the season, as all eyes are firmly on the playoffs for Josh Allen and Co.

Buffalo clearly has the best roster in the division, and with Joey Bosa and Josh Palmer coming in to complement what is already being built, it feels like another year of AFC East dominance is coming from the Bills.
