The Valley Season 2 is currently airing, and even though it’s only a few episodes in, a lot has happened. The premiere episode showed estranged couple Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor still at odds with each other. It was shown in Episode 2, though, that Jax was going to make an effort to be a better man and was admitting himself into rehab. This was soon after an on-screen intervention and Brittany revealing his cocaine addiction to the world.

The decision was quite the shakeup among the cast, and even some of his former Vanderpump Rules co-stars have been reacting to the events. One of which is Ariana Madix, who despite being close with Brittany, couldn’t have predicted this outcome.

The Valley star Jax Taylor’s rehab stay shocked Ariana Madix

Ariana was a recent guest on Watch What Happens Live. During the segment, she shared her honest reaction to Jax admitting himself for help. And, in her eyes, it was quite the shock.

“I never would’ve thought he would’ve done that,” she shared in the episode.

Nonetheless, she made it clear that his rehabilitation doesn’t change how she feels about his relationship with Brittany. When asked to respond to Brittany initiating their split, her answer was, “Hell yeah, brother!”

The reality TV star was truly surprised by Jax’s rehab, but what wasn’t a shock to her was the fall of Schwartz & Sandy’s. Just a few months after Season 11 finished, it was announced that the bar would close permanently in December 2024, which was not an unexpected ending in Ariana’s eyes.

“I don’t know that I was surprised just because when I was a little bit more close to that situation, there were issues and there were things like that. So it wasn’t that surprising.”

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
