Real Housewives of New York fan favorite Jessel Taank has lit up the small screen for two seasons. Between her funny Jessel-isms, being called “basic,” and interactions with Pavit Randhawa, she has won over the hearts of viewers. But the most recent episode showed Jessel struggling to connect with Pavit on their date night, and now that conversation is making viewers worried. Currently, they seem to have a more friendly relationship rather than a romantic one, and it feels weird.
Jessel Taank is sensitive about her marriage
Real Housewives of New York viewers first picked up on Jessel’s bratty attitude. Who could forget her lingerie meltdown in the Hamptons? While I don’t think she looked like a Christmas tree, it was clear she was used to getting what she wanted. The outburst came shortly after the birth of her twins, and it was obvious that Jessel was having a hard time adjusting. On top of that, her marriage to Pavit has always been a sensitive topic. Last season, Jessel’s marriage felt like it was circling the drain, and it didn’t help that the ladies kept giving her intense bombastic side-eye.
But viewers were concerned by Pavit’s solo trip to Vietnam, which was all in the name of air miles. The heavily implied takeaway for the RHONY ladies was that Pavit was going to hire a sex worker for a night on the town. Jessel brushed off the accusations, and Pavit flew halfway around the world for a sandwich. But their troubles are still very much trying to make a resurgence in Season 15.
Pavit Randhawa is ignoring Jessel Taank’s opinions
The latest episode of the Real Housewives of New York was infuriating to watch due to the couple’s antics. While on a rare date night out, Jessel tried to share her desire for another child. But as we’ve seen, Pavit wants none of it. In fact, the man seems determined to make light of her topic of conversation. Bravo’s camera caught him eating dumpling afer dumpling and ignoring his wife’s questions. Honestly, it was downright rude. The restaurant scene felt as if a shift had occurred.
Jessel clearly became upset, and to the naked eye, it looked like the facade Jessel had put up about her marriage was slowly starting to shatter. Until now, the pair’s problems seemed small, but having another baby is a huge topic to ignore. There seems to be a disconnect.
Jessel Taank is slowly becoming more annoyed
When I watch these two, all I can hear in my head is “You like potato and I like potato. You like tomato, and I like tomato.” These two couldn’t agree on a topic if their lives depended on it. For example, the mother of two loves to spend lavishly. Everyday costs don’t seem to bother her. During Season 14, fans watched as she wanted to send her kids to a pricey preschool at $60,000 a head, but Pavit was hoping for a more reasonable choice. The same trend was noticed in Season 15 when Pavit wanted a nice meal in Chinatown. The plastic chairs and railroad crossing turned off Jessel. It’s obvious both have very different spending habits. And that can cause a disconnect within the household if not addressed.
I also question if their politics align. During a conversation, Jessel noted, “What if we had the next Beyoncé? Or what if we had the next Elon Musk in that freezer? And then you’re like, ‘Bye, Beyoncé. Like that sucks.” Pavit joked, “I’m okay saying bye to Beyoncé, but Elon Musk I’ll take.” Neither have ever publicly shared their political affiliation, but it’s hard not to notice that Beyonce and Elon are on opposite sides of the spectrum. I hope the two Real Housewives of New York stars can work it out, but if I were Jessel, my main concern would be how checked out Pavit seems to be with their marriage.
