Will love win or are we facing the end of this epic romance?
Nothing lasts forever on Young and the Restless, not even love. Sadly, by the looks of it, this may soon ring true for Mariah and Tessa. Poor Mariah had a rough ride while on a business trip and she’s come home in quite a state. And, while she was away, Tessa’s gotten closer and closer to Daniel. We have to wonder if this is all laying the groundwork for a heartbreaking end to a beautiful romance.
A Rich HERstory
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) took the daytime world by storm when they shared their friendship started turning into something more. Much more. From their first flirtation to their first kiss, they’ve stolen scenes and kept fans locked in. They’ve had their ups and downs, including Mariah’s cheating scandal and proposing to Tessa on stage at her concert to a terrifying trafficking ring, becoming mothers, and Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) reappearance, they’ve never proven their love runs true. But, is love enough to keep them close?
Love Doesn’t Always Win
If it’s all about to come crashing down, we have to wonder what will be the chaotic event that will bring these two to their knees. During the May 2nd episode, Mariah came home and ran straight to her mother to open up about her trip. She’s spiralling big time and even drank herself into an oblivion while away and then admitted to keeping close tabs on Ian Ward. The shame of it all had her making Sharon (Sharon Case) pinky promise to not tell a soul…including to Tessa.
And, while that’s not great – as keeping secrets never is – at that same moment, Daniel’s ((Michael Graziadei) nosy mother was pushing her to get close to him so she can spy. Tessa’s, of course, balked at the idea, but it did show just how bonded she and Daniel have become. If Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is noticing how much their friendship has blossomed, then others have too. And, surely, that’s a sign for Tessa to evaluate what’s really going on between them.
How Will It End?
Will it be Mariah’s secret keeping and shame that will causes a rift in their marriage? Or, will it be Tessa developing feelings for Daniel and taking that friendship too far? If she does cheat, will Mariah give her grace and offer her a second chance? Will Tessa even want one? Teriah are a show stopping supercouple but we all know breakups, makeups, and shakeups are what keep the soap world spinning.
