Janette Manrara shares moment of 'gratitude' in huge family update with first since a 'little girl'

Janette Manrara has expressed her 'gratitude' as she shared a huge family update with fans.

The dancer and presenter revealed last weekend that she'd welcomed many of her family members to the UK from Miami as they flew out to support her latest ventures.

Fans will recall that Janette made her stage debut in the role earlier this year, before recently taking a break - but not of the rest kind. She has instead been busy performing alongside her husband Aljaz Skorjanec in their own show, A Night To Remember.

It was described as being the Strictly Come Dancing stars' biggest show to date, featuring a sensational ensemble of some of the UK’s very best dancers and singers, with Janette and Aljaz themselves taking to the dance floor to perform stunning routines to an eclectic array of music.

The 19-date tour kicked off last month before the last show took place on Sunday (June 8) in Torquay at the Princess Theatre. And Janette and Aljaz had quite the support as they took to the stage for the last time - for now.

Sharing a sweet video of herself and her grandmother, the 41-year-old shared: "My 86-year-old grandmother made it safely over from Miami and watched me dance for the first time since I was just a little girl [pink heart emojis]."

Alongside another joyous video, Janette explained: "My aunts, uncles, mom and brother were also able to fly over from Miami to come watch. The Cubans took over backstage [crying laughing emoji]."

Now, Janette has shared more photos from the happy family reunion, which also included celebrating her mum and dad's upcoming 60th birthdays.

Captioning the post, the Strictly It Takes Two host shared: "What a weekend full of love and family! They flew over from Miami to see mine and @aljazskorjanec show @rememberingtour.

"#ANightToRemember, and they also got to watch me be “Roxie” in @chicagomusical. My cousin actually caught the rose at the end of the show and gave it to my grandmother. The fact that they all made the trip over, including my 86 year-old-grandmother, makes my heart sing! She had not seen me perform since I was just a little girl.

"We also got to celebrate my parents' 60TH birthday (they both turn 60 this summer, a month apart). It was such a special lunch at a wonderful spot with the perfect birthday cake! (Restaurant: @loftstalbans / cake: @alison_powell1)."

Janette added: "This is a post of gratitude. Gratitude for the loving and supportive family I have. Thank you all for making the trip, taking the time, booking flights, hotels, taxi’s…. I love you all."

And the messages soon came flooding in. @ilovejanettex said: "Family time is so special and important!!!!!!! This makes my heart so incredibly happy!!!"

@chantelbriody52 commented: "I am glad your family came over to see you. Aljaz and Lyra. I hope you have a good week." @suzy2062 wrote: "How amazing they could see you perform in both shows & you are extraordinary that you can do both in such a short space of time."
