Jimmy Vesey has been placed on long-term injured reserve by the New York Rangers to start the 2024-25 season.

During a practice a little over a week ago, Vesey went down and was laboring in pain on the ice as he quickly limped his way back into the locker room.

That’s the last we saw of Vesey.

Being put on LTIR means that veteran forward will miss at least the first 10 games of the regular season

This past year the 31-year-old recorded 13 goals, 13 assists and 26 points in 80 games while averaging 12:23 minutes.

It’s unclear exactly how much time Vesey will miss or what sort of lower-body injury he sustained.
