Joe Burrow Reveals New Skill He Learned This Offseason

Joe Burrow’s 2023-24 season with the Cincinnati Bengals was cut short due to a wrist injury after ten games, and he had just been getting back to playing like his usual self after a slow start due to a preseason calf injury.

Quarterback Joe Burrow #9 of the Cincinnati Bengals looks on in the second half against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on November 16, 2023 in Baltimore, Maryland.

His offseason has been filled with plenty of rehab to make sure his wrist is ready to go for next season, but Burrow reportedly also picked up a hobby that has apparently helped him heal.

In an interview with Complex, Burrow said “I’m learning the piano right now…it’s helped my rehab for my wrist.”

Playing the piano is not the first thing a physical therapist would have a patient do when rehabbing a wrist injury, but if it’s working, Bengals fans will surely love to hear whatever tunes he can come up with.

Burrow had two touchdowns and two picks through his first four starts last season as the team limped to a 1-3 record before posting 12 touchdowns and four picks over his next five starts.

After that, he hurt his wrist in a game against the Baltimore Ravens and that was a wrap on the Bengals’ season.

Cincy’s offense underwent a bit of a revamp this offseason after losing Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd, and Jonah Williams while offensive coordinator Brian Callahan was hired as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

In the loaded AFC, the Bengals will need Burrow at full strength to have any chance of making it back to a Super Bowl.

Hopefully channeling his inner Mozart has that wrist feeling great.
