Josh Allen Propels Bills to Top of NFL Quarterback Room Rankings After Historic MVP Season

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is riding high after a historic 2024 season that earned him MVP honors. Allen threw for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, while also contributing 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. His stellar performance has helped solidify the Bills' position as the team with the best quarterback room in the NFL, according to Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano.

Josh Allen lifts Bills in NFL quarterback room rankings

"For perhaps the first time in a long time, we can say the best quarterback in the league doesn’t reside in Kansas City," writes Manzano. "Josh Allen won MVP during a season where Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow also posted career years. And while Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs again got the best of the Bills in the postseason, Mahomes had a sluggish season by his own lofty standards, playing behind a subpar offensive line that struggled in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles."

Despite facing a lesser roster than quarterbacks like Burrow and Jackson, Allen carried the Bills with consistent elite performances week after week. His heroics earned him a six-year, $330 million contract extension, cementing his status as the leader of the Bills' offense.

The Bills’ quarterback depth is also strong, with Mitch Trubisky, Mike White, and Shane Buechele rounding out the roster. But with Allen yet to miss a game since becoming the team's starter in 2018, the focus remains on his continued dominance at the top of the quarterback ranks.

As the 2024 season draws to a close, Allen will be determined to keep the Bills' quarterbacks at the top of NFL rankings in the years to come.
