Justin Fields calls reuniting with Garrett Wilson on Jets 'awesome'

The New York Jets signed Justin Fields to be their quarterback in 2025. That was confirmed by general manager Darren Mougey, who called him the team's starter.

In inking the QB to a two-year deal, Fields joins an offense that is not all strangers.

Fields' top playmaker is receiver Garrett Wilson in New York. The two played together in college at Ohio State and it's easy to assume Wilson being in New York factored into Fields' decision to join the Jets.

Fields didn't say exactly that... but hinted a bit. The QB said it will be "awesome" to be teammates again.

That probably relates to Fields and Wilson connecting for 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns during their time at Ohio State.
