Kailyn Lowry Said She Wished That She Could Have Given Valley a Sister

In a February 2024 episode of her podcast, “Barely Famous,” Lowry referenced that she underwent a tubal ligation after the birth of Valley and her twin brother, Verse. Lowry said she regretted the procedure because she wished she could have given her daughter a sister.

“I just got my tubes tied. And I’m so sad — it’s like a bittersweet feeling because the one thing that I would’ve always wanted if I had a girl was to have another one. Because I never got close to my sister growing up and I always loved seeing sisters who were best friends. So that’s the one thing that I wish I could’ve given my daughter — a sister,” said Lowry during her podcast episode.

Lowry made similar comments during an October 2024 episode of the “Just Trish” podcast. According to Lowry, she and Scott, who is also the father of her 2-year-old son, Rio, had “instant regret” after she went forward with the tubal ligation. She explained that she and Scott would have liked to have one more daughter.

“I only have one girl. So I was like I always wanted for her to have a sister. So I was like, ‘Oh maybe we should have waited until we had one more girl,'” said the mother of seven.

She said she would have liked to have undergone “IVF with gender selection” to ensure she had another girl.
