A contestant on the upcoming season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” is speaking out about her dental regrets after an awkward mishap saw her front tooth break at the absolute worst moment. 24-year-old Alix Earle, who rose to fame with her viral “Get Ready With Me” TikTok videos as a student at the University of Miami, courageously showed the broken tooth to her fans in a July 2025 post, which she says snapped during a conversation with none other than “How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days” actress Kate Hudson.
“Let’s get ready with me for night 2 on the Ritz Carlton cruise, and we are going to start of with filing my tooth!” she said as she pulled out what appeared to be a nail file. “I bit it off a little bit at dinner last night,” she explained, before saying her goal was to “smooth it out a little bit.”

“Veneer reveal!” declared the New Jersey native, who had not spoken about her veneers prior to the video, which started with the caption “Don’t get veneers.” She said she had the work done the summer after she graduated college, and never wanted to post about it because she “immediately” regretted the move.
“I never wanna, like, influence people to do something that I don’t think they should do,” she said, explaining why she hadn’t previously talked about the decision.
Although she said the results of the procedure were initially “great,” she implied the work might not have been necessary. “Growing up I always had really good, straight teeth,” she said, before adding that she never wore braces, but used Invisalign to make her teeth “a little straighter” in high school. Then, she got composite bonding to elongate two of her teeth, which she said would repeatedly “crack off.”
The Frame spokesmodel then began to tear up as she talked about her regrets of agreeing to getting 10 veneers when she originally only wanted two teeth done. “Kind of emotional for me, but I really regretted it, like right away. And I think it was really scary for me,” she said. She recalled thinking, “What did I just do?”
The influencer, who is dating Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios, said part of her dismay stemmed from the thought that she had great teeth before, and now she has to deal with the upkeep of veneers “for the rest of my life.”
Alix Earle Said Tooth Broke In Front of Kate Hudson
The starlet’s dental mishap occurred onboard a Ritz Carlton cruise where Kate Hudson was also a passenger. She said the incident resulted from her habit of munching straws. Earle recalled, “I’m talking to Kate Hudson, and I’m like ‘Hey I love you,’ you know? So I’m talking to her and I go ‘crunch’ and then I go, ‘I just cracked my tooth.'”
The TikToker said Hudson was “the nicest person in the world” about the accident, stepping aside with Earle to inspect the damage. “Just show it,” she says Hudson encouraged her. “She was so so sweet, and was talking to me, and honestly thank God for her, because otherwise, I would have been alone crying about my tooth,” she concluded.
Earle was announced by ABC as a celebrity contestant for season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” in May 2025. Her partner has not yet been revealed.
