Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills know that wherever Kathy Hilton goes, confusion and chaos tend to follow close behind. That was certainly the case on Monday, when Hilton had to be guided off a runway by a model during Housewife and boutique owner Sutton Stracke’s fashion show.
Video from Stracke’s event shows Hilton standing in the middle of the runway while talking to Erika Girardi’s mom, when model Whizdom Williams starts strutting down the aisle. Hilton seems confused as Williams touches her back and fellow showgoers — Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, and Bozoma Saint John — motion for her to step off the runway.
At this point, many Bravo viewers have come to view Hilton’s aloofness and quirkiness as inconsiderate. “It’s not even funny. It’s just straight-up rude,” one person commented on Instagram. “Love how the model pushed her a little. Kathy needs a reality check at times,” another wrote. Others described the incident as selfish and part of a pattern. In 2022, Hilton was criticized for putting on lipstick while Mariska Hargitay gave an emotional speech, and she got a lot of flak for not being able to tell two Black women — Lizzo and Gabourey Sidibe — apart.
Although Hilton was a mainstay on RHOBH and would regularly appear as a “friend of,” she now only occasionally joins the women. She told E! News last year that she would be focusing on her daughter Paris Hilton’s show, Paris in Love. None of the women has commented on Hilton’s runway gaffe, but hopefully the cameras were rolling and got Stracke’s backstage reaction.
