Excitement for The Golden Bachelorette season 1 has been building since the end of The Golden Bachelor, and now rumors are flying after Mark Anderson, Kelsey Anderson's father, made some interesting changes to his Instagram account. Kelsey entered onto the scene via The Bachelor season 28, where Kelsey eventually won the heart of Joey Graziadei. During Kelsey's journey to love, the audience was given the opportunity to get to know and fall in love with Kelsey's dad, Mark. She has often praised how her dad raised her and her siblings when her mother, Denise, passed away.
"It’s not like it would be far-fetched if her dad went on the show, considering she was openly hoping that he would go on the show."
More than anything, Kelsey wants her dad to have the opportunity to find love once again, and now, with Mark's latest Instagram activity, it appears he may be a contestant for The Golden Bachelorette season 1. During a recent episode of The Reality Steve Podcast, information was revealed that could lend credence to the speculation that Mark might be joining the hopeful men looking for love.
"Kelsey Anderson’s dad. He might be there...someone messaged me last night, emailed me, and said, did you notice that Kelsey Anderson’s dad went private on Instagram last night," explained the podcast host, Reality Steve. This comes just days before filming for The Golden Bachelorette is scheduled to begin.
Should Kelsey Anderson’s Dad Mark Join The Golden Bachelorette?
All Signs Point To Mark Joining The Golden Bachelorette
After previous speculation that Mark could have been The Golden Bachelor, Mark's Instagram account has suddenly gone from public to private. There are whispers that Mark has left to join the other hopeful men vying for Joan Vassos' heart. Kelsey has been very open and honest about her wish for her dad to find love and happiness with a romantic partner once again, the same way she found love and happiness with Joey. Kelsey previously spoke about which of the women from The Golden Bachelor would have been a great match for her dad.
Viewers got to know Mark during the hometown dates, and throughout her time on The Bachelor, Kelsey spoke about her dad to Joey while she was competing for his heart. Kelsey called Mark her “rock” and explained how her dad took the mantle of raising her and her siblings when her mother tragically passed away after battling breast cancer. Luckily, Mark has a lot going for him when it comes to being a contestant in The Golden Bachelorette season 1. Mark is an easy-going man who knows how to be in touch with his emotions.
On The Golden Bachelorette, various older men from around the country will gather to compete for the love of Joan, who is a 61-year-old administrator for a private school. Joan was previously married but sadly lost her husband to pancreatic cancer in 2021 after 32 years of marriage. She was a contestant on The Golden Bachelor, but she removed herself from the show when her daughter, who was experiencing post-partum depression, called and said she needed her mom. It is already easy to see that Joan and Mark may have an easier time connecting with each other.
Mark and Joan share the tragic connection of losing a long-time spouse to cancer and will be able to understand how that part of their lives may be over, but it can still have a major impact on their future. Both Joan and Mark also have close relationships with their children and have shown what lengths they will go to take care of them and ensure their well-being. Through the heartache of losing a loved one and the joys of raising children they adore, there are many ways that Mark and Joan will be able to connect emotionally and intellectually.
The Golden Bachelorette premieres in fall 2024 on ABC.
