After reports of an injury, it has been confirmed to be a muscle strain.
As OTA's are continuing, Pitts is currently sidelined with what appears to be a muscle strain on his foot. Many people were thinking he was holding out amid trade rumors, but an injury is currently holding him back from joining the Falcons for OTA's.
Pitts has been on the trade block all offseason and just as the rumors increase, he starts to deal with an injury. The indications are that Pitts will not participate in offseason activities, which could indicate either a more severe injury or a trade coming soon.
As the Falcons continue to look for suitors, Pitts will have to rehab this injury, so he is healthy for whatever team he ends up playing for in 2025. Pitts is linked to multiple teams around the league, that include the Cowboys, Giants and Jaguars.
Pitts had missed most of the 2022 season with a Torn MCL, and that has been his only major injury throughout his career, as he has played 17 games in three of his four seasons. He has maintained his health well throughout his career, but this could be a slight setback.
Not a lot has come out about this injury, but what is not good for the Falcons is the possibility of him not being traded and him not being able to get reps in with Michael Penix Jr. It is important that those two build chemistry if Pitts stays on the roster for 2025.
This situation will continue to be closely monitored at all angles, and more news should come out soon about the injury.
