Kyle Pitts More Than Likely Staying Put In Atlanta

Pitts was in trade rumors all throughout the draft process and was linked to many different teams including the Jets, Broncos and the Colts. Colts would take Tyler Warren with the 14th pick and the Jets snagged Mason Taylor with the 42nd.

None of these teams are desperately looking for Pitts at the moment which is not the most ideal situation if Pitts continues to struggle.

Pitts is entering his fifth season in the league after being selected as the highest drafted tight end in NFL history, and after his pro bowl rookie year, there has been much to be desired. His production has been a roller coaster as he has totaled 10 touchdowns in four seasons.

This season will be the definition of a make-or-break season for Pitts, as he looks to potentially reach his potential in the next few seasons and be an all-pro level player that he was drafted to be. With a new quarterback and an overall better-looking team, it could be a new beginning for Pitts.

The draft saw the Falcons put many marbles into defense because of how much work that side of the field needed, and the offense looks pretty set outside of how well Pitts can perform with all that pressure this year. Michael Penix Jr. is going to utilize Pitts the best he can.

The Falcons are going to need Pitts to have a full breakout season so they can once again be in the playoffs. The Falcons will look to break 500 after going 8-9 last season.
