Latest Injury Update on Bengals' BJ Hill

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle BJ Hill is progressing slowly as he ramps up for the 2025 season. Head coach Zac Taylor spoke with Hill, who was seen wearing a walking boot as voluntary workouts began.

The Bengals’ top defensive lineman is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

“It’s going to be a few weeks here in the offseason program, which I’m very thankful for,” Taylor said on Friday regarding the injury. “We’re going to be really slow with him during the offseason. BJ is a guy who’s logged a lot of reps here, knows exactly what we’re doing, so we’ll be very cautious.”

Cincinnati signed Hill to a three-year, $33 million deal this offseason to anchor the Bengals' defensive front.

He remains a veteran leader alongside TJ Slaton, Kris Jenkins, McKinnley Jackson, and others. Hill earned a 70.2 Pro Football Focus grade last season — the second-highest mark of his Bengals career.
