Lindsay Arnold Isn’t Ruling Out a Return to ‘DWTS’

Former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold could return to the show in the future. “I feel like I could never say never,” she revealed on an episode of “The Squeeze” podcast. “… I feel like the show is on such a huge trajectory right now. I could see it being on for many more years to come …”

Arnold was not coy about whether she’d return for the show’s upcoming season. She said fans have commented on her social media posts about being in L.A., assuming she’s there to prepare for “DWTS.” “… I’m like no, I’m not.” Arnold shared. “I’m not going to troll you and be like, maybe.”

But that doesn’t mean she’s hanging up her dancing shoes. “… am I saying that I would never come back? No, I’m not saying that either,” Arnold explained. “So it really is just like, it’s got to feel right.”

Arnold’s Difficult Decision to Leave

Arnold was a longtime pro on “DWTS,” appearing for 10 seasons of the show. In 2022, she had to make the difficult choice to leave, as becoming a mother had changed things for her. “… I wanted to give my full potential and I could no longer do that,” Arnold said.

The dancer gave birth to her daughter Sage in 2020, and returning to the show after that was a challenge. “I’m like, my 24-7 job is being a mom … I had a really hard time that season,” Arnold revealed. She knew before season 30 of the show ended that she had a big decision to make.

“I honestly felt like I knew in my heart … this is it for me,” she shared. “I remember calling my husband after the finale and just bawling …” Arnold wondered if watching the show after she’d left would be painful, but she found it was actually a lot of fun. “I was on my couch with Sage eating popcorn watching … it was the best feeling ever …”

Arnold Is Her Sister’s Biggest Fan

Arnold’s younger sister Rylee joined “DWTS” for season 32, and Arnold is loving watching and supporting her. And seeing her perform is somewhat of a surreal experience. “… it’s literally like I’m watching myself 10, 12 years ago,” Arnold explained.

While Arnold is undoubtedly proud of Rylee’s success, there is an aspect of living vicariously through her little sister. “… this show that was part of my life for so long, it’s still in my life through her, in a way,” Arnold said. “I just want to be a fan. I just want to watch.”
