Lisa Barlow Will ‘Stop’ Recommending Friends for RHOSLC After Bronwyn Newport’s Addition

It didn’t take long for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City newbie Bronwyn Newport to flip on her friend, Lisa Barlow.

Usually, when an OG Housewife brings on a sidekick, it takes the new addition at least until their second season to turn on their “in.” In this case, it only took until the second episode of RHOSLC Season 5. Bronwyn had clocked in early! This surprising behavior has made Lisa leery of recommending any friends to the show ever again. And Lisa has a lot to say about why.

RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow says she is “done” recommending friends because the “common denominator” is “usually hating me”

Bronwyn and Lisa’s feud started when Bronwyn made fun of Whitney Rose in front of Lisa and Heather Gay. Of course Heather went and told Whitney immediately. However, Bronwyn had already beat her to the punch and had told Whitney of her snarky comments. As Heather and Bronwyn went at it, Bronwyn felt Lisa didn’t have her back. And Lisa was over it.

Lisa told Brice Sander from ET she is done recommending new friends. He asked Lisa, “You were Bronwyn’s connection to this group. Any regrets about bringing her into it?” Lisa replied, “I don’t think I’ll ever recommend anyone again.” Not even if the referral bonus is a lifetime supply of Diet Coke and KitKats?

She continued, “I recommended hundreds, and I think I’m gonna to stop. There’s a common denominator, and it’s usually hating me. So, we’re done.”

He then brought up how Bronwyn thought Lisa and Heather were “hypocritical.” Lisa responded, “I didn’t do anything to Bronwyn. I defended her the best I could, knowing that she’s my friend. The expectation people have on me to defend them is 180 from the expectation they have on themselves.”

Lisa added, “And I feel like she wanted to stick it to me and Heather. But I’m like, your issue is with Heather, but your issue should really be with yourself because you just got called out for what you didn’t say.” Bronwyn’s been a hit so far with fans, so Lisa, keep those recommendations coming!

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
