In a recent episode of their podcast, Lisa Rinna and her husband, Harry Hamlin, discussed how trolls impacted their QVC business. Lisa, 61, also revealed the “biggest reason” she left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) and reflected on the death threats she received from fans. She accused one of her former castmates of being "in charge" of the trolls, as she and Harry, 73, shared how QVC executives were shocked by the backlash Lisa faced.
Harry revealed on Let’s Not Talk About the Husband: "It’s incredible — the number of trolls created by that show. We had a huge business on QVC destroyed by trolls." However, Lisa clarified, "Well, it wasn’t really destroyed by trolls, but they came after us and we had to, like, make some phone calls and sh*t."
According to Harry, the corporate team at QVC had “never seen anything like” the "negativity" directed at Lisa because of the drama unfolding on RHOBH. "They got scared," Lisa admitted. "But remember, there was someone in charge of those trolls, and we had to address it, and we did."
"There was somebody on the show that had an army of trolls that they unleashed on you," Harry added, though they kept the identity of this cast member under wraps.
Due to the overwhelming hate she received after falling out of favor with fans, Lisa quit the show in January 2023. "That’s probably the biggest reason why I’m no longer there — because of the fanbase and where it went. It’s not worth it. That’s why I left," she explained. "I had quite a lot of death threats if you remember the last season. It just got to be too much because I had lost my mom, and I was in a great stage of grief, and it was just too much."
“It was too f*cking much. I couldn’t do it,” she added.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Lisa confirmed her exit from the show more than two years ago after starring for eight seasons. "This is the longest job I’ve held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series," she told PEOPLE at the time. "It’s been a fun eight-year run, and I’m excited for what’s to come!"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
